The
financial markets closed for the holiday weekend with mixed
results today. The Dow gained 73 points, while the Nasdaq
dropped 6 points.
Dice (DHX)
was one of the big losers of the day, dropping 8% to $7.35 after
being downgraded by Wachovia from ‘Outperform’ to ‘Market
Perform’. Travel Zoo, Overstock, and Answers all had big losses
today as well.
Most
stocks traded on light volume in the abbreviated trading session
today. Autobytel (ABTL) did manage to jump 6% today. The small
cap stock is now up 36% from last week when it set a new 52-week
low ($1.12).
As
travelers set out for the 4th of July vacations, they
may find gas prices inching even higher. Today, oil prices
jumped to a new all-time high near $146 barrel. Lingering
concerns over a possible Israel-Iran conflict continue to drive
the prices up.

and Autobytel. |
